Here’s a transcript of a talk by Paul Stamets. While I finished listening, I only took notes about halfway through. The transcription didn’t come out as clean and I wasn’t able to finish working on it. I’ve already moved on to other materials. Still got far enough that I wanted to publish what I completed, and maybe I’ll come back and work on it some more. “Tell a lie long enough, loud enough, and big enough, people will believe it.” —Kent Hovind on Evolution
I started to work my way through Kent Hovind’s Creationism Seminar. I had heard them all before when I was Christian, and they were very influential in providing me the “evidence” I needed to believe in Creationism. I’m listening to them again with my new perspective, and as I go, I’ll jot down my thoughts right here. Continue reading “Creationism”
Obviously, god did it.
Suppose you’re speaking with a believer who says, “Well I think evolution is true, I just believe that God designed the world through evolution.”
I think it’s great that the believer is so accepting of scientific research. It’s very, very important to learn about ourselves and our world! But let me spell out the differences between the neutral view and the theistic view. Continue reading “Theistic Evolution”

Research ideas, defense of religion, attacks on atheism, creation and evolution etc.
I’m in a number of Facebook groups that discuss atheism and theism. Usually I am a silent observer as I read through the threads. Sometimes I have a few thoughts that I feel like jotting down, which is what this article is; a hodge podge of ideas. I’ll organize as I go, and if a section gets big enough I’ll break it into its own post.
