2006 – Age 21

“It’s not a matter of IF I go to Ireland, it’s a matter of WHEN.”

I found a pile of papers in the filing cabinet from 2006. It’s kind of a hodgepodge. This is a hard post to write because I’m scanning my youth writings. I have pages of notes from my college days where I was making an early attempt to be a deep thinker. Grandma & Grandpa S (My Dad’s Parents)

Going to Grandma and Grandpa’s house always meant a road trip. They lived on the southwestern border of Iowa–practically in Nebraska, so it took some time to drive there from Minnesota. Their city is a fun little town with a lot of character; shiny casinos ablaze with twinkling lights, and greasy black trainyards that stretch on and on.
